ClaimBot® Freedom-to-Operate software

ClaimBot® is Fast

The traditional FTO investigation process can include multiple repetitions of analysis for each independent claim in a patent landscape.

ClaimBot® software enables you to analyze hundreds or thousands of independent patent claims concurrently. Infringement review of a target product or method relative to a large patent landscape can be reduced to minutes or hours, instead of days or months of work.

ClaimBot® is Visual

Lucid Patent® FTO charts are interactive charts. Once the independent claims of the patents of interest are scraped into ClaimBot® software, various limitations from the independent claims can efficiently be parsed out and combined into simplified "Scope Concepts." The user evaluates whether each Scope Concept is applicable to a product or not, and enters these finding into the chart. For each Scope Concept that is not applicable to the product, all claims indexed to that Scope Concept become excluded.

When all Scope Concepts in the Lucid Patent® FTO chart have been evaluated for the product, the completed interactive chart shows which patents and claims have been excluded from coverage and why. It also shows whether some claims may need more detailed review to achieve Freedom To Operate.

Visual Recognition

ClaimBot® charts map the patent landscape visually.  Opportunities and dangers can be seen at a glance.

ClaimBot® is Powerful

ClaimBot software can be used in a variety of ways beyond FTO analysis, for example:Due diligence -- to more accurately access the true value of a target company's patent portfolio; Offensive assertion investigations -- in essence the same process as FTO except using another company's product as the target; Coverage review -- for resource allocation or false markeing review; Invalidity -- where prior art is "indexed" to a claim chart to aid with invalidity investigations; Unclaimed subject matter -- where specifications are mapped against claims to reveal interesting, unclaimed subject matter; and Categorization -- patents in the FTO landscape are grouped into one or more technology categories.
